Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP)
FCIP is a permanent residence pathway for eligible skilled workers who want to work and settle in participating Francophone-minority communities.
Designated employer and community
You need a qualifying job offer from a designated employer. Participating communities are Acadian Peninsula, Sudbury, Timmins, Superior East Region, St. Pierre Jolys and Kelowna. Review the community’s current employers and priority occupations.
French and other eligibility
Applicants need approved French test results meeting at least NCLC 5 in all four abilities. Work experience, education, settlement funds and other requirements also apply; review any applicable exemptions and the validity of your evidence.
Recommendation and application
The designated employer sends the community recommendation application to the community. A recommendation is required before the permanent residence application. An offer or minimum eligibility does not guarantee recommendation or approval. Optional work permits have separate rules.
Our Windsor team can review your circumstances and documents and explain the services available under an agreed retainer. Government authorities decide applications; eligibility, invitations and approval are not guaranteed.
Official information: Check the latest program requirements. Intake, fees and processing times can change.
