Newfoundland and Labrador immigration pathways
The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) offers provincial nomination pathways for eligible applicants who intend to settle in the province. The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a separate pathway. Federal permanent residence requirements also apply.
Expression of interest and invitations
The province uses a two-stage selection process for NLPNP and AIP. Candidates first submit an expression of interest through the Immigration Accelerator portal. Selected candidates receive an invitation before a full application can be submitted.
Under the current published instructions, an economic immigration candidate needs a job or job offer from an employer in the province. Employer invitation-code requirements depend on the pathway and work authorization. Check the official instructions before submitting.
Deadlines and eligibility
The current invitation-to-apply submission period is 30 days. An expression of interest is valid for 12 months, but neither an expression of interest nor an invitation guarantees approval. Confirm all stream criteria and the deadline in your invitation.
